  • Dr. Erik Edwards
    Chiropractor

As a family and performance chiropractor Dr. Erik believes in helping everyone because “life” is an athletic event that we all engage in no matter what your age.  He specializes in helping athletes, families and people of all ages and abilities in order to optimize their health and performance.  Dr. Erik sees plenty of active people and families, he is also Webster’s certified which is a technique used on pregnant women and is an active member in the ICPA (International Chiropractic Pediatric Association). Dr. Erik has completed several hours of postgraduate training to make sure he has plenty of tools in his toolbox for any patient situation.  Some of his additional training consists of Garston M1-M2 IASTM certifications, Rocktape, Extremity Adjusting (CCEP in progress), and Webster’s certified through the ICPA along with other courses in specific pediatric adjusting.

Dr. Erik was very active growing up, with weightlifting and basketball being his primary focus. It was in high school when he went to a Chiropractor for the first time to help with some lower back pain and a possible rib subluxation that had occurred after a regular training session in the gym. He saw immediate results in how he felt and moved post adjustment. At that point trips to the chiropractor become part of his regular wellness routine. Dr. Erik went on to play collage basketball. He kept up with regular chiropractic care and continued to see the benefits of staying well adjusted. Then he graduated with his a Bachelors degree in Kinesiology and a minor in Psychology from Central Michigan University. When he would come home on weekends he would come in and get adjusted by Dr. Trevor occasionally. It was then Dr. Erik took it upon himself to shadow some DC’s and see what a typical office day was like and learn a few things about the profession. Previously he was considering physical therapy school but soon switched his mind after visiting the chiropractic offices. That is when he decided to move to Georgia and attend the world renowned Life University to begin their professional chiropractic program. He graduated with honors in 2018 with a Doctorate of Chiropractic. When Dr. Erik is not at the office he can be found spending time with family, which consists of Dr. Erik’s soon to be wife Dayna, their young son Evan and dog Zeke. They all enjoy going to the gym as a family, hikes, bike rides and of course enjoying all of the beautiful lakes that northern Michigan has to offer. With Dr. Erik growing up in the Bellaire area, he couldn’t think of a better place to raise a family and offer his services to the surrounding communities.
